History of Corrective Services in Queensland

In 2009, Queensland will turn 150. As part of the Q150 celebrations, corrective services takes a look at the history of corrections in Queensland.

Did you know Queensland's first settlers were in fact a group of 30 convicts and soldiers? The history of gaols, penal settlements and corrective services in Queensland is the longest strand of land-based European history in the State.
