Victims Register

Proximity Searches

If an offender who is eligible applies for parole, officers of the Probation and Parole Service will do a Home Assessment Report in relation to the proposed address that the offender will live at on release.

As part of that process, the Victims Register will be contacted to ensure that no registered victims live in proximity to the offenders proposed address. At no time during this process will the Victims Register disclose your name or address to Probation and Parole staff. We will simply advise that we have concerns with the proximity and this information will be included in the report to the Parole Board for their consideration.

To ensure that we can always check your correct address, please notify the Victims Register of any change to your residential address as soon as possible.
