Probation and Parole is a unique profession whose responsibilities within the criminal justice sector tend to be widely unknown or misunderstood by the public. We are integral to the services provided by the Police and Courts and promote the same ethos towards public safety. We collaborate with a multitude of partners across diverse sectors due to the complexity of offender management.
On any given day from one of our 35 district office locations which cover an additional 132 rural or remote reporting locations, there will be a probation and parole officer who is case managing approximately 16,000 adult offenders across Queensland, that the Courts have sentenced to us.
By working for us you will support our goals to break the cycle of re-offending and we will provide you with training and professional development to understand the role we have in enforcing the orders of the Courts and promoting behavioural change in offenders.
