Status Report

What happens now?

  • Business Model Oversight Committee meets every quarter until June 2006
  • Projects to implement BMR recommendations are monitored

April to June 2005

  • Business Model Oversight Committee established. Inaugural meeting held on 9 May 2005
  • Project plans for implementation of BMR recommendations submitted to BOM for endorsement
  • Devolution of delegations commenced
  • Achievement plan development process commenced
  • 44% of BMR Recommendations completed (includes 2% ongoing)

January to March 2005

  • Selection of senior executives completed and Senior Executive Team appointments finalised
  • New governance arrangements announced and commenced in February
  • Individual and business unit information sessions on the impacts of the implementation of BMR recommendations conducted with central office staff
  • Leadership and Alignment workshop held from 14-16 March for senior executives and senior managers. The workshop focused on executive team building, accountability mapping, performance planning and coaching
  • BMR recommendations for implementation handed to Senior Executive Team
  • Business Model Implementation team concludes
  • 39% of BMR Recommendations completed (includes 2% ongoing)

October to December 2004

  • BMR report approved by the Premier on 18 October
  • BMR launched at a workshop on 21 October
  • Briefings were conducted to inform central office staff, correctional centre staff and area office staff of the philosophy, intent and outcomes of the BMR. Additional information sessions were delivered to stakeholders and agency partners, including PartnerOne, CorpTech and Treasury
  • Senior executive positions advertised
  • Performance monitoring process for BMR recommendations developed

July to September 2004

  • BMR Team delivered their report on the review of the Department's existing business model
  • Business Model Implementation Team established in August
  • Business Model Steering Committee established to overview the work of an implementation team

April to June 2004

  • BMR Team appointed
  • Workshops are held with senior managers
  • Input sought from staff and stakeholders
  • Existing organisational structures and placement of functions and responsibilities are examined and assessed
